Same thing, keeping the defaults only ended up with 6 minutes of movie converted through a PAYED Software. I tried EXACTLY the same process on a payed program I achieved not too long ago, called imTOO DVD to iPod Converter. Unfortunately, it only converted 6 minutes of it, and I went to a new source. To my shock, I was surprised it might not have done the entire conversion, so I went to Quicktime Player to see if I got the entire movie in MP4. To my ultimate surprise, at around 3% going for about 20 minutes, it completed. So when I started converting, it seemed to be a slow process, a good sign of converting the entire movie. I kept all the bitrate and ALL other information by default, left to where it was. I was now completely confident of a long process of conversion to be successful. I double checked the preview of the movie on the small screen below on the program and it played back the entire movie. I tried using the defaults for extracting the movie The Last Samurai into MP4 format, using the largest file, worth 2 hours and 33 minutes. I am using DVDFab Platinum Ipod Converter Trial Version, which is 30 days of try-it-for-free full version.
