![]() You can always learn how to create your own manuscript papers later. If you’re writing for a standard ensemble, it’s a good idea to use one of Sibelius’s built-in manuscript papers rather than defining your own, because the supplied ones have numerous helpful defaults (such as special instrument name formats, suitable staff sizes and so on), already set up for you. The New Score tab of the Quick Start dialog lists many types of instrumentation, organized into categories: Band, Chamber Groups, Choral and Song, and so on. You don’t have to make all these decisions at the very beginning as you can always edit the Setup options later.
